Anyone have a copy of the previous version?

I’m a single person user. Powerful PC, 500/500-Internet connection, 2 x NAS (each in RAID1)

I still got this “web-site-blocked-alert-from-svchost.exe” a few weeks ago, but thanks to Bleeping computers removal guide, I got rid of it (with the help from one of these: Rkill/iExplore, HMP (HitmanPro) and AWC (Adwcleaner), in that order. I don’t know which one that did the trick.

Then I discovered Emsisoft, and after the trial period I got high confidence in your program and bought a 1-year subscription. I generally have high confidence in New Zealand people and products.

I still have MWB, RCS, HMP and AWC running. Which should/can I uninstall/deactivate?
MWB now warn after reboot that “Exploit Protection” is turned off. I can turn it off, but is impossible(?) for me to know which program/function i should/can uninstall/deactivate. All of them..?

P.s. I have also bought Emsisoft for my mobile. I would like the PC-license to also to be valid for my laptop (which I rarely use), included in the price….

It’s a great software!!! I use it on my personal computer as well as on the computers in the office, have been happy ever since! Specially when years ago, I used Panda, it was not a good version, no idea about the current. But after I installed this one on its place, it felt like I upgraded the computers. Everything run ultra-fast and no virus problem :) just once each few months I run adwcleaner, to make sure all is clean ^^ and that’s it

Home users are rarely a target. Home users usually use Webmail and Webmail providers have amazing AV scanners. Home users don’t usually use WORD and Adobe, but rather things like Libre Office and Sumatra. All of this make ransomware rare in the consumer market.. For business, Ransomware is only a problem for companies that skimp on IT budget.. A good spam/av filter for email, good endpoint security and a NGFW/UTM on the network and ransomware becomes an afterthought.

Hi Ivoin. Actually, Emsisoft Anti-Malware did proactively stop the ransomware based on its behavior. If you’re interested to read more, feel free to check out the WannaCry interview with our Lab team: http://blog.emsisoft.com/2017/05/18/wannacry-ransomware-interview/

The single one who stopped the Ransomware was CryptoPrevent (FREE …)! You’re REACTIVE when you should be Proactive!
