Emsisoft Anti-Malware IS compatible with Windows 10, and has been for years. You didn’t mention anything about ransomware that I see. Did you send an email in to support@emsisoft.com for help?

Satan which is created by hacker in Jan 2017. Now, I can’t use it until I decrypt .stn files. I don’t have any backup or system restore. Also, there is no decryptor for this. I had searched a lot but no use. At last I got a site like https://www.nomoreransom.org/en/decryption-tools.html & https://www.watchpointdata.com/ransomware-decryptors/ where all decryptors will be uploaded by professionals but they are working for satan decryptor still. But I need my data urgently. Encrypted using AES-256 and RSA-2048… Please give any solutions for recovering my data.

Again, please contact us at support@emsisoft.com for further support on this issue. It’s not suitable for a series of blog posts. I’ll be happy to help you there! In short though, that is a quarantined file, not a site, and yes, it could potentially affect AOL’s software.

David, Thanks for prompt response. About the same time it was quarantined 5/19/2017 I have been unable to access any of my aol desktop functions. Any relation to this quarantined site?

Larry, it is basically as it sounds: The program is trying to create an entry in Windows so that the program runs automatically when the computer starts. If this sounds reasonable for the program you are installing, it is probably legitimate but the installer or program isn’t well-known enough for us to have whitelisted it. If you are not sure about the program, please email us at support@emsisoft.com with details, and we’ll be happy to assist further.

Hi Lubabaj. The message “Application.AdInstall (A)” means that a PUP (potentially unwanted program) was detected. These are typically third party offers/browser modifications that are prechecked when you install another software. It’s classified as “no risk” as they are usually legitimate software.
